Hotel Amadeus is a city hotel situated in a historical building on the Grote Markt (Market square), one of the most beautiful squares in the Netherlands, located right in the heart of Haarlem. All our "small" rooms have modern amenities which include colour television, radio, direct outside telephone line, safe deposit box, toilet and shower. Furthermore, the hotel has a lift (one steep climb to lounge, lift starts from this floor). All Dutch safety standards are more than adequately complied with. The hotel has a cosy, Old-Dutch-style lounge. The lounge interior breathes an air of warmth and hospitality. This lounge is an ideal place to relax after a day full of activity in and around Haarlem. Hotel Amadeus serves a continental breakfast buffet. You can also make use of the restaurant, which is located in the same building. The city of Haarlem is over 750 years old. It is a very lively town close to Amsterdam and the popular seaside resort Zandvoort aan Zee. Haarlem is known for its many interesting museum, such as the Frans Hals Museum, Teylers Museum and buildings, such as the Grote Kerk (previously the St. Bavo Cathedral), the city hall and the Vleeshal (Meat Market). Haarlem is an excellent shopping city and the city offers a wide range of specialised stores and exclusive shops, boutiques and department stores. The city has many specialised books an antiques shops and pavement café's where you can sit and watch people stroll by.
