Bloemgracht 75
1016 KG
Amsterdam
This studio is suitable for two people. The (private) entrance is on the ground floor and the front looks out onto one of the most beautiful canals in Amsterdam: the Bloemgracht. It is sometimes referred to as the Herengracht of the Jordaan. The zen garden at the back of the building, complete with a pond and goldfish, offers an oasis of tranquility after a hectic day in the city. Every Tuesday at 12 pm the bells of the Westertoren chime a delightful concert. A unique experience from this garden!
At the front is a modern kitchen with a dining table and two chairs. In the middle area is a compact bathroom with a toilet, shower and wash basin. At the back of the studio is a seating/sleeping area with two connecting single beds (90 x 200 cm), both good quality springbox mattresses.
Wardrobe space is available for both hanging and stacking.
There are two modern lounge chairs in this area as well as a little round table. You can read a book or watch some television in this comfortable spot, which has a view onto the courtyard, the zen garden filled with bamboo and a pond with goldfish. The studio has a LCD television and wireless internet connection. The bathroom is equipped with soap, shampoo and, of course, a stack of luxury towels.
Breakfast is not served in the studio.
However, breakfast can be ordered only 100 meters away at broodje Mokum (real Jordaanian) or at Mazzo (trendy) for €7,50 - €12,50 per person. The studio has a small kitchen with a fridge, a microwave and everything you need to prepare breakfast and there are plenty of nice shops in the vicinity where you can do your food shopping. Of course restaurants and café’s are only a short walk away (for example in the nine streets and around the Noordermarkt).
The studio is right in the middle of the Jordaan and walking distance from the Westertoren, the Anne Frank House and the Dam. You can visit Amsterdam's two nicest markets on Saturday and Monday mornings, both in the direct vicinity. This area is the perfect place for shopaholics, as nearly all the nice shopping streets are just a stone's throw away. Great restaurants are in abundance as well as cosy bars and places of entertainment. For the sporty guests, you'll find a new swimming pool with sports facilities only 400 meters away.
Accessibility couldn't be better as trams (10-13-17) and taxis stop just around the corner. Various museums, congress centres and other places of interest are all very easy to reach.
